Stamford Bridge Stadium in Chelsea, West London is the current home of Chelsea F.C. and has a capacity of 42,055. Stamford Bridge was originally opened in 1905 but has undergone redevelopment in the 1990s when it was renovated into a modern, all-seater stadium. Stamford Bridge's West Stand is the second tallest stand in England and is located along the west side of the pitch, it has three tiers. The ground was used in 1980 for the first major day-night floodlit cricket match between Essex and West Indies.

It has been widely reported that Chelsea plan to increase capacity of Stamford Bridge to around 55,000 or seek a new ground if they cannot get planning permission to upgrade the Bridge.
